Thanks to the reviewer who suggested only replacing the cable and not the sheathing. It wasn't too bad at all. Just be sure you understand how the cable fits into the brake handle. It's a bit tricky getting it back together. A slightly longer cable would have made it a bit easier.

This is my husband's second Nitro walker; first was regular height, but this is better for him.
I have replaced the cables several times, and I wish that only the cable wire was available for purchase. It is not always necessary to replace the cable housing/black wire covering. I had to purchase forceps in order to be able to thread the cable housing through the frame, and so I only replace the wire cable--easy to do.
