I do like this footstool and chose it for the height of the handrail

I do like this footstool and chose it for the height of the handrail, not because there is a bariatric person in our house hold. We turn the rail to the side of the bed for a rail so that my spouse has some support as he gets out of bed. When he comes back to bed, we turn it so that he can use it as a stool to get back in bed. Their is a little play in the rail and it is not as steady as I would like. I am not sure that the rail would be strong enough for a bariatric person. The stool part is great and seems very strong.

I purchased the stool to use with our motor jome. It is a sturdy foundation with a hand rail for getting in or out of tall vehicles.
