I had to replace the headboard because the original headboard drive gears and bearing failed due to POOR lubrication at the time of original assembly. ZERO lubrication on the lower bearing. I took apart the NEW headboard and found the same problem which would have caused premature failure and corrected the problem myself. a lot of the assembly lubricant was just thrown about on the inner cover and places where it would never provide correct lubrication to the assembly.
